Aydan Aghabayli, natural do Azerbaijão, explora os motivos geométricos islâmicos na azulejaria portuguesa, tema incluído na sua dissertação de mestrado intitulada “A Parametric Envision of Portuguese and Azerbaijan Islamic Geometric Patterns”. Actualmente a realizar o seu segundo mestrado em Building Information Modelling (BIM), Aydan Aghabayli continua a explorar a relação entre o património arquitectónico e a computação. Aydan Aghabayli, from Azerbaijan, explores the use of Islamic geometric motifs in Portuguese tiles. This subject was part of her Master’s thesis, entitled “A Parametric Envision of Portuguese and Azerbaijan Islamic Geometric Patterns”. Currently enrolled in a second Master’s programme, on Building Information Modelling (BIM), Aydan Aghabayli continues to explore the relationship between architectural heritage and computation. What new perspectives will he bring to tile studies? Curious? Then be sure to attend!
