O AzLab está de regresso para mais uma temporada cheia de novidades e com um programa muito diversificado!
A sessão inaugural é já no dia 12 de Outubro e, pela primeira vez, decorre em formato misto: online e no Museu Nacional do Azulejo. Dedicado ao tema das novas ferramentas digitais, esta primeira sessão inclui a apresentação oficial da mais recente versão do Az Infinitum – Sistema de Referência e Indexação de Azulejo, um projecto desenvolvido pelo grupo Az – Rede de Investigação em Azulejo, em parceria com o Museu Nacional do Azulejo e a empresa Sistemas do Futuro. A apresentação das novidades e funcionalidades ficará a cargo dos responsáveis pelo projecto, Rosário Salema de Carvalho e Alexandre Pais, que abordarão ainda outras ferramentas ligadas ao Az Infinitum, caso da pesquisa automática de padrões (VISE).
O AzLab contará ainda com as intervenções do director da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, Professor Miguel Tamen, da directora do ARTIS – Instituto de História da Arte, Professora Maria João Neto, do anterior coordenador do Az – Rede de Investigação em Azulejo, Professor Vitor Serrão, e do CEO da empresa Sistemas do Futuro, Dr. Fernando Cabral.
📍Questões práticas:
1. A inscrição continua a ser obrigatória para todos os que pretendam assistir às sessões via Zoom. Uma vez agendada a sessão, cada participante receberá o link e uma password.

2. Como foi prática do AzLab durante 6 anos, para quem quiser assistir ao vivo não é necessária qualquer inscrição. Todavia, estamos naturalmente limitados à capacidade da sala.

NEW DIGITAL TOOLS FOR THE STUDY OF AZULEJOS

AzLab is back for a new season full of surprises and with a very diverse programme!
The opening session is scheduled for October 12th and will be held, for the first time, in a hybrid format: both online and at the National Azulejo Museum. This first session, dedicated to the use of novel digital tools, will include the presentation of the most recent version of Az Infinitum – Azulejo Indexation and Referencing System, a project developed by the group Az – Azulejo Research Network, in partnership with the National Azulejo Museum and the company Sistemas do Futuro. The system’s new features will be presented by its coordinators, Rosário Salema de Carvalho and Alexandre Pais, who will also focus on other tools related to Az Infinitum, such as the automatic pattern research (VISE).
Other speakers at the session will include the director of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, Professor Miguel Tamen, the head of ARTIS – Art History Institute, Professor Maria João Neto, the former coordinator of Az – Azulejo Research Network, Professor Vítor Serrão, and the CEO of the company Sistemas do Futuro, Dr. Fernando Cabral.
📍Practical issues:
1. Registration is still mandatory for those who wish to attend via Zoom. Once the session is scheduled, each participant will receive a link and a password.

2. As has been the case for the last 6 years, no preregistration is needed for the in-person sessions. However, attendance is limited to the room capacity.
