No mês em que lançamos a nova versão do AzLab, em formato podcast, publicamos duas sessões em regime experimental (vão perceber que ainda estamos a testar as diversas condições quando ouvirem este AzLab#88, mas não se assustem que melhora a partir da primeira sala 😉). During October, the launch the new AzLab podcast has two sessions on an experimental basis (you’ll realise that we’re still testing the different conditions when you listen to this AzLab#88, but don’t be alarmed ​—​ the sound will be better after the first scenario! 😉). Alexandre Pais é um nome incontornável na história da azulejaria portuguesa! Está ligado ao Museu Nacional do Azulejo há muitos anos e os seus estudos, de cariz multidisciplinar, são uma referência na historiografia do azulejo em Portugal. Actualmente, e desde 1 de Agosto de 2021, é director do Museu Nacional do Azulejo e é com esta mais recente  faceta que iniciamos o AzLab número 88, agora em versão podcast.

Alexandre Pais is a leading name in the history of Portuguese azulejos, long associated to the National Azulejo Museum, and his multidisciplinary works are an important reference in Portuguese azulejo studies. He has been the director of the National Azulejo Museum since August 1^st 2021, and this new role will be the initial focus of AzLab’s 88^th edition, in podcast version.

Um dos mais influentes historiadores da arte portuguesa das últimas décadas, Vitor Serrão é  professor jubilado da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, instituição em que desenvolveu grande parte da sua vida académica. O seu vastíssimo currículo e a sua acção em prol do património nacional são por demais conhecidos. Entre 2009 e 2018 Vitor Serrão foi também coordenador do grupo Az – Rede de Investigação em Azulejo e é precisamente por aí que começamos este AzLab número 87, em versão podcast.

AzLab#87 [podcast] | with Vitor Serrão

One of the most influential experts in Portuguese art history of the last decades, Vítor Serrão is Professor Emeritus at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, the institution he worked for throughout most of his academic life. His vast career and his actions on behalf of Portuguese heritage are well known. From 2009 to 2018, he was also the coordinator of Az – Azulejo Research Network, and that will be the starting point of AzLab’s 87th edition, in podcast version.
