A próxima temporada do AzLab começa em Outubro e o calendário está a tomar forma!
A primeira sessão, dedicada à apresentação do novo Az Infinitum, decorre no Museu Nacional do Azulejo. Depois teremos um balanço do que foi o TileFestival, abriremos o panorama à azulejaria aplicada no Mediterrâneo, abordaremos os fingimentos em azulejo, questões ligadas à arqueologia e à salvaguarda, e a aplicação de azulejos em cemitérios. Será certamente uma temporada diversificada, com impacto nacional e internacional, e que decorrerá num formato misto – regressaremos às sessões presenciais sempre que se justifique, mas garantindo que todos os AzLab acontecem também via Zoom e são gravados e disponibilizados.
Alerta spoiler! O AzLabOvar regressará em força durante o mês de Maio, no âmbito da programação do “Maio do Azulejo” e terá como tema a salvaguarda do azulejo.
Em Setembro actualizamos o programa do AzLab e em Novembro ficará definido o calendário do AzLabOvar. Até lá, desejamos a todos umas óptimas férias!

The next AzLab season starts in October and the calendar is already taking shape!
The first session, devoted to the presentation of the new Az Infinitum, will take place in the National Azulejo Museum. Afterwards, we will reflect on the outcomes of the TileFestival, extend our research scope to azulejos applied in the Mediterranean region, on scenographic tile decorations, on issues related to archaeology and heritage preservation and on the use of azulejos in cemeteries.
It will surely be a diverse season, with a national and international scope and a hybrid format – we will resume our in-person sessions whenever convenient, but we plan to make sure that all AzLab sessions are held over Zoom, recorded and made available online.
Spoiler alert! AzLabOvar will return in May as part of the event “Maio do Azulejo” and will focus on tile preservation.
In September we will update the AzLab calendar and in November that of AzLabOvar. Until then, we wish you all a great summer holiday!
