Pedro Ferreira [Centro de Investigação em Arquitectura, Urbanismo e Design (FAUL)]
Pedro Ferreira (1978) é licenciado em Design pela Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade de Lisboa (2002). Foi bolseiro Erasmus no Politécnico de Milão (2001) e bolseiro da Fábrica — Centro de Pesquisa para a Comunicação do Grupo Benetton em 2002, acabando por assumir a co-coordenação do departamento de design (2004). Em 2005, regressa a Lisboa, onde, juntamente com Rita João dá início ao Estúdio Pedrita. É co-autor de Fabrico Próprio — O design da Pastelaria Semi-Industrial Portuguesa (2008), projecto que se desdobra numa publicação, uma exposição e várias apresentações nacionais e internacionais. Entre 2010 e 2015, foi docente no Curso de Design de Ambientes da Escola Superior de Arte e Design das Caldas da Rainha do Instituto Politécnico de Leiria.
Integra em 2013 a actividade da empresa Cortiço & Netos, da qual é sócio fundador, e que desde os anos 80 recolhe, armazena e revende azulejo descontinuado português. É ainda sócio fundador da AIAI — Associação para a Interpretação do Azulejo Industrial (2013), que tem como objectivo de estudar o espólio herdado de Joaquim Cortiço. Actualmente, é aluno de doutoramento em Design na Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade de Lisboa (com bolsa atribuída pela Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia), desenvolvendo uma tese sobre a Azulejaria Industrial em Portugal na segunda metade do século XX.

15×15: INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION OF THE AZULEJO IN PORTUGAL

Pedro Ferreira [Centro de Investigação em Arquitectura, Urbanismo e Design (FAUL)]
Pedro Ferreira (1978) is a Design graduated from the Lisbon School of Architecture of the University of Lisbon (2002). He was Erasmus Fellow at the Polytechnic of Milan (2001) and Fellow of the Factory – Research Center for Communication of the Benetton Group in 2002, eventually co-coordinating the design department (2004). In 2005, he returns to Lisbon, where, together with Rita João, he started the Pedrita Studio. He is a co-author of Fabrico Próprio – The Design of Portuguese Semi-Industrial Pastry (2008), a project that unfolds in a publication, an exhibition, and several national and international presentations. From 2010 to 2015, he taught the Environment Design Course at Caldas da Rainha School of Art and Design at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria.
In 2013, he integrates the activity of Cortiço & Netos, of which he is a founding partner, and which since the 1980s has been collecting, storing and reselling discontinued Portuguese tiles. He is also a founding partner of the AIAI – Association for the Interpretation of Industrial Tile (2013), which aims to study the estate inherited from Joaquim Cortiço. He is currently a Ph.D. student in Design at the Lisbon School of Architecture of the University of Lisbon (with a grant from FCT – Foundation for Science and Technology), developing a thesis on Industrial Tiling in Portugal in the second half of the 20th century.
